There is a strong risk of false positive signals as a cause of unspecific amplification from contaminating DNA in PCR reagents. In the first place, the polymerising enzyme, but also primers and dNTPs can contain contaminating DNA. Molzym has developed a series of high quality, DNA-free products for the reliable and most sensitive PCR/Real-Time PCR detection of bacterial loads in blood and other specimen.
