Molzym’s research use products are designated to the detection, identification and characterization of microorganisms in complex clinical and other material.
DNA Isolation
Among these products are the pre-analytical tools, MolYsis and its automated version SelectNA, which steer the isolation of bacterial DNA from clinical specimens to greatly enhanced PCR analytical sensitivity and specificity. Among the material that can be processed are whole blood, liquor, BAL, CSF, sputum, swabs, heart valve and other biopsies.
DNA isolation from grown bacterial and fungal as well as animal and human cells is performed using the product line, PrestoSpin. The highly porous matrix together with Molzym’s proprietary DNA isolation technology allows the processing of even viscous solutions with high DNA yield.

PCR Amplification
At our production site we manufacture MADE IN GERMANY highly active amplification products optimised for daily routine PCR. Choose among our Taq DNA polymerase, MolTaq, and specialised MolTaq Mastermix products to obtain excellent results.
Another line of products comprises guaranteed DNA-free PCR reagents, MolTaq 16S, and PCR assays, Mastermix 16S, to detect bacteria in samples with utmost sensitivity. The products are ideal for microbiology, quality management and control of manufacturing processes, quality control of water and food surveillance.
