Its design is adapted to the needs of variable sample number processing and high performance in molecular pathogen diagnosis. Containment by UV decontamination and, at the same time, ease of use together with precise processing of samples to ultra-pure DNA for PCR analysis are the key features of the SelectNA automate.

Molzym’s QM system guarantees that all consumables and reagents of the Blood Pathogen kit are decontaminated from microbial DNA, a major source of false-positive results especially when running universal PCR assays. The proprietary bead-based procedure has been developed for the isolation of femtogram to picogram amounts of pathogen DNA thereby enabling the PCR detection of pathogen cells at utmost sensitivity.
